Metaphysics

Metaphysics is the science which investigates first causes of all existence and knowledge. It seeks to explain the nature of being and the origin and structure of the world, bringing the physical, mental and spiritual character of mankind into its true perspective of holism.

Through metaphysics, an applied psychology of religion has developed which has influenced the work of ministers and teachers in handling the emotional and physical problems of youth and maturity, and in dealing with the sick and dying, especially the importance of acceptance and release — letting go of grief, fear, anxiety and other “lower” energies so that we can “go up” to higher vibrations that are more positive, affirming and nurturing. In this way, a closer relationship between the work of the psychologist and that of the spiritual healer has been established. In fact, the Doctor of Metaphysics, or Metaphysician, ties them together into one, so that they are both psychological counselor and spiritual comforter and healer. The true Metaphysician is a teacher, healer, and counselor, who espouses universal spirituality.
