Barbara Rose's Wonderful Words of Life
“Even the most daring and accomplished people have undergone
tremendous difficulty. In fact, the more successful they became, the more they
attributed their success to the lessons learned during their most difficult times.
Adversity is our teacher. When we view adversity as a guide towards greater inner
growth, we will then learn to accept the wisdom our soul came into this life to
learn.”
Many seekers of higher guidance enjoy the daily wisdom of Deepak
Chopra’s inspirational e-series, The Daily Guru. One day this summer, our
AIHT president forwarded two special messages from www.thedailyguru.com.
Alongside the pleasing words themselves, coworkers were happy to see that the
source of both quotes, Barbara Rose, Ph.D., is an AIHT alumna.
Here and now (“As above, so below”) Barbara Rose’s
wisdom now graces this page of Vibrations as well.
While earning three metaphysics degrees with AIHT, her engaging
Born to Inspire Web site was launched in 2001. As founder of the Florida-based
Institute of Higher Self Communications (IHSC), Barbara is a motivational speaker
who has written five books. It’s been said that nothing bad ever happens
to writers; every event becomes future material.
If that’s the case, the challenges in Barbara’s life offer a deep
wellspring for living in-spirit!
Born into a charmed lifestyle, young Barbara was a self-described
“spoiled princess brat” who starred in her first TV commercial at
age two. Growing up in New York, Switzerland and Washington D.C., her school chums
included royalty and celebrities.
Governed by the power struggles of divorced parents, while in
college she was disowned for studying acting rather than medicine. Although she
would soon shift her energies to marriage and motherhood, a life-pattern of emotional
abuse remained—even after she divorced.
Escaping to L.A., Barbara’s new life was immediately shaken
by an earthquake that devastated her family’s home but not their spirit.
A more profound after-shock came several years later, when the struggling actress
lost custody of her children.
“There was a time when I didn’t want to live,”
she admits. “And that’s when God literally held my hands. I discovered
the sixth-sensory world of higher guidance, and realized that God doesn’t
play favorites. When you begin to understand that divine intuition is our birthright,
God’s assurance is that we’re never alone.
“We can lose any or all of our other five senses, but the
sixth sense is God-given intuition. One night I had a dream that healed my heart
of all bitterness and regret,” she concludes. “After years of wondering
‘Why did I have to lose my children?’ I was comforted by the loving
realization that they’re not lost, and they never were. They live nearby
and we spend a lot of time together. Part of my path was to write these books,
and I think that’s what I’ll be doing for awhile.”
“No matter what difficulty you are facing, it is coming
from Divine Light to bring you to a higher place within. Write down every conceivable
reason that this situation can contribute towards your growth. Write down every
way this experience can possibly set the stage for serving to uplift others. When
you are complete, and have come to the other side of this experience, you will
then know ‘why’ it happened.”
Barbara Rose, Ph.D., Metaphysics, is founder of The Rose
