Let There Be Books!

What If You Can Change the World?

If indeed “life’s answers lie within,” how does one authentically access those inner promptings and put them to good use amid the noisy drama of daily life? In a new book by metaphysics student Linda Iribarren, What If You Can Change the World? offers 100 thought-provoking and emotion-stirring questions to help readers connect to the power and intelligence of our vast internal wisdom.

What If… is an unusual and deceptively simple method for personal transformation that beckons us on a journey of discovery and growth that naturally results in practical, beneficial life changes. Alongside inspiring words from an eclectic group of visionaries including Emily Dickinson, Chief Seattle, Kahlil Gibran, Hippocrates and many more, What If… is a guidebook for making a difference in one’s own life and the world we share.

Linda Iribarren serves on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations and works with gifted children through executive leadership with ChildSpirit Institute.

Healing the Hurt Spirit

Recently interviewed on National Public Radio, author Catherine Greenleaf shared the stark revelation that every 18 minutes, an American dies of suicide. “There are 30,000 deaths from suicide annually, which is 2,700 deaths per month. Less than 10% leave a note, and typically any final correspondence is more likely to include instructions or directions rather than explanations or a heartfelt goodbye.”

Healing the Hurt Spirit is described as a New-Age spiritual reader: offering comfort and healing, including how to heal damaged first chakra connections after a suicide, as well as smudging with sage or juniper in homes where violent episodes have occurred.

With 366 daily meditations and affirmations for people who have lost a loved one to suicide, Healing the Hurt Spirit speaks to survivors about each of the crucial stages of recovery. As a non-denominational spiritual director and member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling, Catherine offers insight into her own healing journey to rediscover joy.
