Coming Out of winter
Life flows beautifully outside when life is flowing beautifully inside.
We will still experience some cold weather between now and spring. At this writing some say we will have 15 more snowfalls, so there will still be a considerable amount of time spent indoors. Depression is worse in the winter months; the absence of outdoor stimulation can make one feel lifeless. No flowers, no trees, no birds, no bees, and very little sunshine. Here are some tips to help you get through the remainder of winter.
It is of upmost importance to get a sufficient amount of
rest. Enervation is the number one killer in America. It is weakness and reduced
vital
energy produced by overeating, drinking, overworking, worry, cooked food, sugar,
salt, caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, serum injections, impure water, polluted
air, and tension. Of course, all of these combined results in an over-exertion
of the body which further results in depression, hence the winter doldrums.
I know of no other way to restore vigorous physical and mental energies, other than to abandon these bad practices and return to healthful living. Life flows beautifully outside when life is flowing beautifully inside. Likewise, external stress and depression can only be dealt with when internal stress has been removed. When you continuously, on a day-to-day basis, stress the stomach, brain, nerves, adrenals, lungs, etc., life becomes difficult to contend with, hence the winter blahs when that time of year comes around.
We have a lot to look forward to. Spring is just around the corner, and if we begin making changes today, our attitudes can be different. Begin getting enough rest, get out and breathe fresh air, drink pure water, and particpate in some form of exercise, even if it means walking at the mall. Expose yourself to sunlight when it is available, eat enzyme active food and you will come out of winter with a good attitude!
