Dr. "Y's" B.B.Q. Tofu
This newsletter's recipe is provided to us by Dr. Chester Yozwick, the President of AIHT.
kitchen

Slice tofu in 1/2" thick slices and place in broiling pan. Sprinkle on each slice liberally in the following order:

  1. Braggs® Liquid Aminos (or low sodium soy sauce)
  2. granulated garlic
  3. mild chili powder
  4. domestic paprika
  5. olive oil

Rub all ingredients into each slice of tofu, coating each slice completely until they all look brownish red. Turn slices over and repeat the same process. Place tofu in the oven and broil 10-15 minutes on each side, until a little crispy and firm looking. Remove tofu from oven and brush on each slice (one side only) Kraft® Hickory Smoke B.B.Q. Sauce. Return tofu to oven for 3-5 minutes longer or until sauce is bubbly. Remove from oven and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Pour the remaining sauce from the bottle into a 10" skillet and heat. Add tofu to the skillet, coating each slice with the sauce. You can use a baster for this. A most amazing and tasty treat, especially in this day of vegetarian thinking!

*Note: Braggs® Liquid Aminos may be purchased in most good health or natural foods grocery stores, if chosen to be used.
